Ross Dodington started apprenticing with Alan T. Jackson, the Toronto area representative for Casavant Frères, in 1960. Ross married Linda in 1962 and they have worked as a team in the pipe organ business ever since. They have two children, Barb and Jim, both of whom also work full time at Dodington & Dodington, and three grandsons; Dylan, Chase, and Austin. In 1979, the Dodingtons moved to Aylmer, Ontario and worked for Leonard Jeffs in the London area. Ross became the south-western Ontario Casavant representative in 1982.
Ross has his ARTC in Voice from the Royal Conservatory of Music and sang for 18 years with the Festival Singers of Canada under Elmer Iseler in addition to his work as a pipe organ technician. Ross is currently bass soloist at First St. Andrew's United Church in London and regularly appears as bass/baritone soloist with various groups including the Niagara Symphony, Orchestra London, the International Symphony Orchestra, the Norfolk Singers, the Stratford Concert Choir, the Georgetown Choral Society, the Niagara Chamber Choir and the Cellar Singers of Orillia.

As many of you have heard, Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer during the summer of 2006. Lumps were removed from both breasts on August 21, 2006, along with all the lymph nodes on the right. The lump on the right proved to be malignant and was rated as "aggressive" but the margins were clear and the lymph nodes negative so we hope we caught it early. Linda elected to have the surgery done in Muskoka which is where she spends her summers. She recovered from the surgery very well. Pathology on the lump revealed that Linda's cancer is estrogen negative which is a less common form of breast cancer and more difficult to treat successfully. Unlike estrogen positive cancer, Linda's cancer is unresponsive to the hormone therapies that are enjoying so much success with other forms of breast cancer now. She started chemotherapy in London in November which she is handling well and radiation will follow in the spring. Linda enjoys tremendous support from her family and many, many friends. Her spirits are very good. We all remain extremely hopeful that she will enjoy a full and complete recovery from this cancer.
